In 1986, American Friction Welding began by providing friction welding for the printing and computer industries. Within a short period, we realized that our services could be applied to various industries while still providing current customers with a high quality product at cost-efficient prices.
Extending our friction welding applications into other industries proved to be a desirable and profitable implementation. Our facility expansion turned us into one of the largest full-service job shops in the United States.
AFW operates a 50,000 square foot, climate-controlled facility that is easily accessible to major interstates ensuring maximum logistics efficiency. An onsite warehouse and complete KanBan program completes the cycle to meet customers' needs and standards.
Our welding team is proud of the quality assurance programs we've developed. Part of the QMS plan involves monitoring and improving processes involving the design and engineering of custom components; materials acquisitions; craftsmanship; JIT inventory management; plus inspection and quality control standards.
