Turnkey

At American Friction Welding, we take pride in being able to offer our customers a "Turnkey" product. In many cases, we procure all materials, provide saw cutting, pre-machining, friction welding, as well as any post weld machining, heat treating or plating. This service gives our customers the opportunity to place a single order, which begins with manufacturing materials to their print specifications and continues through to their final finished assembly.

Turning
We have a variety of CNC lathes, tracer lathes, and chuckers. Our turning equipment can also run very economically for orders of specific size and quantitites. At American Friction Welding, we can turn very small parts or parts up to 3-1/2 feet (42 inches) in diameter and 13 feet long. Our long lathe beds range between 80" and 156", which provided us the experience to become specialists in shafting, rollers, pins, and hydraulic components.

Milling
Our horizontal milling machines and vertical milling machines range from Bridgeport knee-mills to our largest CNC milling machine, with an envelope of 240" x 79" x 39". We have wide experiences in machining complex castings, plate stock, large forgings, and of course, shafts. Many machines have a palletized system or shuttle transfer system for maximum productivity. Most machines come with a rotary table, adding a 4th axis. Angle head tooling can be added for a 5th axis.
